To give you a quick overview, the author discusses how using day parts reporting in Google analytics can help to increase your Adwords ROI as well as improve your SEO strategy as a whole.

For anyone who doesn’t already use Google Analytics I thoroughly recommend reading up on this topic and implementing on your website as soon as you can as it gives you a pretty good idea of your rankings and search volumes.

Sorry we haven’t messaged in a while guys, it has been very busy down our end over the last few months.

In this weeks blog I thought Iwould talk about spamming – why you do and why in most cases it won’t work.
Most ’spamming’ especially on blogs such as ours, is done to create/build links back to a website in order to drive traffic. But in most cases, web owners are able to spot this spam and prevent it from being published.

For instance, we regularly receive spammy comments from websites (we can actually see their web addresses when they do this) from health, sex advice experts etc. Now whilst they think they have messaged us from a different email address, in our case Wordpress enables us to see their IP addresses which show exactly what website/company they are messaging from.

Now, whilst we do not endorse spamming – as it annoys a lot of website providers – if you are genuinely interested in using this technique you need to be subtle.

Hide your IP – your computer shows where you are emailing/messaging/posting from so unless you use such tools at ‘Hidemyass.com’ to hide your IP, websites will be able to see who you really are

Read the post – most spam messages are filled with ‘thank yous’ and no actual detail of what they have learnt. The typical one is ‘I was searching for your post all day…’. Similarly, these messages are usually quite disjointed and randomly throw in a connection to their website

Truthfully, spamming is not the best way to build links as most websites are able to spot them a mile away. So try to avoid using this technique.

Peace

Matt

Hey guys,

As my first blog I thought I would keep this one short and sweet, by answering an obvious question: what is SEO?

All SEO actually stands for is ’search engine optimisation’. Through utilising specific shorttail and longtail keywords, I can use these keywords to get a website to rank higher on search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

Let’s say for examples sake I was doing SEO for a weight loss product.

If I was trying to get their site to rank for the word ‘diet pill’, I would integrate this specific keyword into relevant sections within their copy to help increase their sites searchability. The more it is referenced, the more surfers are liable to find this website when they type in this term.

And that on a basic level is it.

Admittedly, SEO is much more complicated than the quick summation I have given you above, but we will get around this in the coming weeks when I shall go into this topic in more detail.

Anyway guys, I’ll chat to you soon. Please feel free to message me.

Matt
